Chris Lawrence - Broadcast Journalist & Sports Reporter
1) Describe yourself in three words.
Grumpy young man.
2) What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Never look down on someone unless you're helping them up.
3) Who was you're childhood hero?
I guess it varied for me. Not one stands out head and shoulders above the rest. I guess anybody from a dozen footballers to a similar amount of wrestlers. Bret "The Hitman" Heart was super cool though.
4) Favourite music.
I love all sorts of music. My taste ranges from gentle chilled out tunes to hard house music through classical, jazz, swing, to hip hop and r n b. I just love music and am constantly listening to something.
5)Favourite films.
Again absolutely love my movies, all the Rocky films, The Killing Fields, Redemption, O (Modern day version of Othello) , Snatch, Longest Yard, Godfather 1 and 2 three was a bit poor, Lucky Number Slevin, Crash the list could go on forever.
6)Favourite books.
Books are probably one of my biggest vices. I read everything I can get my hands on. Autobiographies from anyone who may have something to say tend to take up a lot of time. Ill admit I've not read many of the so called classics though.
7) Why do you love living in Cornwall?
I love living in Cornwall because on any day I can drive for about half an hour and get to the beach to blow the cobwebs off.
8) Is there anything you would change about where you live?
I'd love to sort out parking. I don't want to park for an hour I need somewhere just to park for 5 minutes and I don't want to abandon my car with hazard lights on.
9) Most memorable moment of your journalism career so far.
You may know I love my sport so it has to be the days when the Cornish Pirates and Mounts Bay made it to Twickenham and Truro City to Wembley. Broadcasting from those fine venues and wandering around in the deepest depths of the stadiums was amazing.
10) Any bad habits?
Honestly far to many to list.
11) Three fantasy dinner guests?
First up would be Muhammad Ali and David Attenborough, just imagine the stories those two could tell, they'd keep me entertained for hours. Then also Heston Blumenthal, between the two of us I'm sure we could knock up some top notch food and it certainly wouldn't be boring.
12) Who would you most like to be stranded on a desert island with?
I have to say Bear Grylls or James Bond or someone who may be able to get us off the island once I'm a little bored...If they're not available then I guess Megan Fox.
13) Proudest moment?
Being invited to pull on the Red shirt of Liverpool Football Club to play in a charity match. I've never been that nervous and excited at the same time.
14) Favourite place in Cornwall
On the rocks at Prussia Cove.
15) Any public figure that you'd wipe from history?
Anybody that is famous for doing nothing for example Big Brother winners, Jodie Marsh and people living off their parent's fame. Just send them to a nice quiet island where they can irritate each other.
16) Tell us a joke?
Doctor: "It's no good. I can't find anything wrong with you. It must just be the effects of drinking."
Patient: "I'll come back when you're sober then!"
17) Hobbies?
Well you may have guess sport, movies, music and reading, but that aside I love anything the gets the heart race going. I want to Bungee the world's highest jump as the ones in England are small. I also like to cook.
18) Tell me something not many people know about you?
I'm currently studying for a qualification in Forensic Science and Criminology.
19) Most famous person you've met
David Attenborough.
20) Most useless thing you know?
Aside from Brummie Lee. The interstellar gas cloud that comprises Sagittarius B contains a billion billion billion litres of alcohol.

Lara Snell - Broadcast Journalist

Chatterbox, friendly, sociable.
2) What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Don't use credit cards.
3) Who was you're childhood hero?
I used to read a lot of Enid Blyton and then make up my own stories like hers, so I guess I could say her!
4) Favourite music.
Really eclectic! I like a wide variety of stuff from pure cheese, to a bit of nineties, to right up to date stuff.
5) Favourite films.
The Shawshank redemption, The Butterfly Effect, Anchorman, Dodgeball... I don't have a particular 'type' of film I go for, if I like it, I like it...
6) Favourite books.
The Time Traveller's wife is my favourite ever book, closely followed by the Life of Pi and The Brief History of the Dead...
7) Why do you love living in Cornwall?
The breathtaking views around every corner... some of the most stunning scenery in the world.
Oh..... and pasties.
8) Is there anything you would change about where you live?
I wish some of the people who came down on holiday had a little more respect for the place.
9) Most memorable moment of your journalism career so far.
Probably when I was working in Meribel, going to work at the top of a mountain in the Alps every day was pretty mad!
Until I fell off said mountain....
10) Any bad habits?
Of course not! I can be a bit blonde sometimes though.
11) Three fantasy dinner guests?
Stephen Fry, Simon Cowell, Ricky Gervais.... Do I have to pick just three??
12) Who would you most like to be stranded on a desert island with?
Robbie Williams...mmm... no explanation needed!
13) Proudest moment?
Finding out I'd graduated from my undergraduate degree, I'd convinced myself I wouldn't... also the first time I made it down a black ski run on my own.
14) Favourite place in Cornwall
Probably Polly Joke beach and Cubert common.
I love walking my Jack Russell's Tigger and Piglet down there.
15) Any public figure that you'd wipe from history?
I find the Katie Price and Kerry Katona type tv programmes beyond irritating. Why anyone would want to know every detail of their mundane self-obsessed lives is beyond me!
And ALL of Westlife.
16) Tell us a joke?
What do you call a man with no shins?...... Tony.
17) Hobbies ?
Although I love living on the coast, I also love the mountains. I've been skiing now for four years and love it.
18) Tell me something not many people know about you?
I'm ridiculously competitive, and a bit of a dark horse on any quiz team.
19) Most famous person you've met
Tragically, it's probably Peter Andre from when I was on work experience at TOTP magazine. I also met Steve Jones from T4 once. Lovely.
20) Most useless thing you know?
Wierdly, I have a photographic memory for random information, I was challenged to name all ten Big Brother winners recently and could... I have no idea why!

Emma Williams - Broadcast Journalist
Emma is currently on maternity leave, having given birth to her first son Oliver.
I'm Emma and I live in Helston with my lovely husband Kev, son Oliver and my highly intelligent cats Puss and Boots.
I was actually born in Oxford but moved to Cornwall at a young age, growing up in various villages around the Helston area - Ashton, Godolphin and Leedstown to name but a few. At 14 I moved to Darmstadt in Germany where I spent five years learning the lingo before heading off to Bristol for three great years at the University of the West of England.
Eventually I made my way back down to Cornwall to study for my Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at Falmouth College of Arts. I graduated in 2002 and began freelancing as a journalist while also working in the world of marketing and PR.
That all changed in June 2007 when I came to join the happy people here at Atlantic FM. These days I can mostly be heard reading news bulletins throughout the mornings. When I'm not here I'm usually pottering about, attempting to do up the house or trying to catch up on some sleep after the early starts - all very much good fun though!
