44 year old Patricia Philpotts and her 10 year old son Ben died after a house fire at Trevarrian near Newquay.
A mother and child have died in a suspected arson attack....
Police were called to the scene of a house fire in the Trevarrian area of Newquay earlier this morning.
Forty four-year-old Patricia Philpotts was found dead at the scene.
Her ten-year-old son Ben was taken to Treliske Hospital where he later died.
A male suspect has been taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol to be treated for his injuries thought to be from the fire.
