Saturday, January 23rd 2010 06:00

Your views on grassroots football could win you big prizes

Players, coaches, volunteers, parents and spectators throughout Cornwall can have their say on the future of the game.

Geoff Lee, Chairman of Cornwall FA commented: "This is a real opportunity for you to let us know how we are doing. "

For the third consecutive year, Cornwall FA is offering the chance for those at grassroots level in football to voice their opinions on what's important to them in football, the work done at a local level and the FA's Respect programme.

He added,€ We are part of The FA's National Game Strategy, which has committed funds in a four year investment worth £220m nationally. That means about £25,000 a year here in Cornwall.

"Once again, we are keen to hear from local football people how we're doing and what still needs to be done to keep the grassroots game heading in a positive direction.€

The FA's National Game Strategy has seen increased participation in many areas, particularly refereeing and coaching.

The survey can be accessed at www.cornwallfa.com, while hard copies of the survey are also available by contacting 01208 269 010.

The prizes are tickets to a forthcoming England game at Wembley Stadium, £200 worth of great England branded goods from The FA's online shop and a signed England Shirt.

The closing date is 14th February 2010.
