Latest Eden Session announced.

Wednesday, March 3rd 2010 12:30

Indie band 'Doves' announced for next session.

Indie legends Doves and folk rock's newest stars Mumford & Sons have been confirmed for the Eden Sessions.

The show will take place on Friday July 2 and will mark a return to the Eden Project for Doves, who played at the home of the world-famous Biomes in 2002, the first year of the Sessions.

The Manchester band have released four studio albums since 2000 - Lost Souls, chart-toppers The Last Broadcast and Some Cities and last year's Kingdom of Rust. Single releases have included There Goes the Fear, Black and White Town and Snowden. This April sees the release of The Places Between: The Best of Doves.

Doves were nominated in the British Band category at this year's BRIT Awards and had their first two albums shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.

Mumford & Sons emerged from the prolific West London folk scene and wowed audiences with their top ten debut Sigh No More, released late last year. Their sound blends the delicacy and lyrical deftness of the finest acoustic acts mixed with the sense of gravity more readily associated with rock bands.
