Local residents face £600,000 bill for roads

Saturday, February 20th 2010 09:15

Cornwall Council refuse to adopt four roads until they are in a good state of repair.

Residents of a Truro housing estate are battling with the council over the state of their roads.

They believe the four roads in Threemilestone - which are officially the responsibility of the 63 homeowners - are dangerous and are calling on the council to repair them.

But the council will not adopt the roads until they are in a fit state - work that will cost over half a million pounds.

Pot holes, bad drainage and a lack of street lighting are just some of the problems the local residents face.
