Cornwall council have approved the controversial 'Option A' for a new terminal at Battery Rocks.
The battle over the location for the new sea link between Penzance and the Isles of Scilly rages on...
Last night councillors voted to push through Option A- building a ferry terminal on the historic battery rocks-despite widespread oppostion from campaigners.
Plans were first approved back in 2007 but concerns were raised that it could spoil the area.
A campaign group, backed by Penzance Business Network, had called for land next to South Pier to be used instead.
The final decision now lies with the Secretary of State.
