Council delay future plans for Danesbury House
Plans for a home in Newquay for recovering alcoholics have been put on hold..
Its as the council have acknowledged "the residents concerns" and have assured them "no decision has been made about the future use of the property".
Residents of Newquay had been planning a march later this week in protest
The march will now take place on Saturday 24th April 2010, giving the council ample time to complete their review and make a better informed and more appropriate decision on the future use of Danesbury House.
The council have acknowledged that they are "aware of the residents concerns" and have assured us that "no decision been made about the future use of the property". They have also assured us that "they will not make a rushed and perhaps unpopular decision". They have stated that "once the review is completed they will meet with residents to talk with them" and they "hope this will reassure people that we are taking their concerns seriously".
