ShelterBox's work for disaster victims around the world is praised by royal patron, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Cornish-based charity which provides survival equipment to disaster-hit countries has been described as "tireless" by the Duchess of Cornwall.
In her role of royal patron, the duchess was visiting the ShelterBox headquarters in Helston.
The charity currently have teams in Chile, assessing what aid the country needs after Saturday's earthquake, Haiti, Egypt and Peru
The Duchess inspected one of the the 10-person tents included in each of the sturdy green survival boxes.
She praised the "strength and ability" of staff who have recently helped to pack, ship and distribute more than 8,000 aid packages to Haiti, including setting up a tented village near the capital of Port au Prince.
Later the royal guest was treated to a rendition of the charity single Hope For Haiti, recorded and performed by the children of Penrice Community College.
The first consignment of aid boxes arrived in Haiti five days after the tragedy and were used to set up emergency field hospitals, immediately saving lives by providing vital shelter to patients with nowhere else to go.
In an official message to ShelterBox's volunteers, Her Royal Highness said:
As the President of ShelterBox, I am delighted to be making my second visit to the headquarters in Cornwall as this remarkable charity celebrates its tenth birthday.
'I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my warmest good wishes to all the volunteers, staff and response teams who are currently delivering aid overseas under the most challenging conditions, and to those of you who work so tirelessly in our affiliated countries.
'My first contact with ShelterBox came during a visit with my husband to the mountainous region of Pakistan in 2006, following the devastating earthquake there, where I learned at first hand of the vital emergency support ShelterBox provides to the survivors of humanitarian disasters.
'Four years later and, yet again, ShelterBox has responded to one of the worst disasters in its history - providing more than 10,000 boxes to shelter over 100,000 survivors of the earthquake in Haiti, with more on the way.
'ShelterBox's strength and ability to respond quickly are a testament to the fantastic support and goodwill of so many of you. I am very proud to be the President of this wonderful charity, and I have every faith that ShelterBox will continue to move from strength to strength over the next decade.'
Tom Henderson OBE, ShelterBox's Founder and CEO, said today: 'We're delighted and honoured to have hosted Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall at our international headquarters.
'This visit is recognition of our response not only to the Haitian earthquake, but to people we've helped around the world who've been affected by natural or manmade disasters in the last decade, for example in Chile where we are currently deployed
ShelterBox, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year, is now the largest Rotary Club project in the world.
The Duchess then met vounteers at the WILD Young Parents Project in Falmouth
The group works with young mothers and parents under 23, offering support and the opportunity to learn new skills.
