Vital points for the Pilgrims

Plymouth Argyle 3-2 Bristol City Didcot Town 1-1 Truro City

Plymouth Argyle picked up a valuable three points last night but were made to work hard for them...

The Pilgrims went 2-0 up through a first goal of the season from Chris Clark and a spectacular bicycle kick from Bradley Wright-Philips.

However in the second half Bristol hit back with two goals from Nicky Maynard.

The game then swung back into the favour of the Pilgrims when Jamal Campbell-Ryce was sent off for the visitors...

Argyles Captain Carl Fletcher then sealed all three points a minute into injury time to make it 3-2

The Pilgrims are now just 4 points from safety.

Elsewhere and Truro City picked up another point in the Zamaretto Premier League

They drew one each with Didcot Town
