From an early age I wanted to get into radio. Countless school teachers told me I'd never make it so it was a pleasure to prove them all wrong!

I was born and grew up in a farming family and as a result enjoy being outside doing things. My favourite thing at the moment is walking the coastal footpath. We're really blessed to have some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK right on our doorstep and I enjoy taking advantage of that.

Aside from my career and love of walking, I am also keen cook and enjoy getting the pots & pans in my kitchen into a mess. I was trying to think of my favourite food but I couldn't decide. I eat everything apart from baked beans (even thinking about them makes me feel ill).

My career in radio started when I was still at school doing my A levels. I got a job presenting at Lantern FM (North Devon). They couldn't get rid of me and I ended up staying there until 2001 when I moved to Orchard FM in Somerset. After a stint of 2 years there I moved to Ivel FM in Yeovil followed by a short presenting break. Working in Cornwall has been the highlight of my career, although it can be slightly embarrassing at times when I know my family across the county is listening.
